There&#8217;s a recent research paper on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"iBeacon indoor localization using trusted-ranges model (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/pdf\/10.1177\/1550147718824304\" target=\"_blank\">iBeacon indoor localization using trusted-ranges model<\/a>, that explores an alternative &#8216;trusted-ranges&#8217; method. The method is still based on the RSSI measurements between the beacon and detector.
